As the first quarter of 2024 comes to a close, Sensor Tower has provided valuable insights into the performance of horror games on the Android platform in Latin America. The top five contenders have shown varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Identity V experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, peaking at 17K in mid-January and then gradually decreasing to 6.1K by the end of March. Its revenue trended downwards from 20K USD in the first week of January to approximately 11.6K USD by the last week of March. Weekly active users showed a peak of 90.9K in mid-January, with a slight decrease to around 75K by the end of the quarter.
Dead by Daylight Mobile maintained a steady download rate, starting at 22.3K and ending the quarter with a spike at 21.4K. Revenue saw a dip in late January at 6.9K USD but recovered to 11K USD by the end of March. The game also saw a gradual increase in weekly active users, from 479.7K to 544.5K, indicating strong and growing engagement.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 showed limited downloads, with a notable increase to 3.3K in the first week of February but then a fall to under 1K by the end of March. Revenue peaked at 13.1K USD mid-February, followed by a decrease to 5.5K USD by the quarter's end.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 mirrored its sequel's performance with a downloads peak in early February at 5K and a drop to 1.6K by March. Revenue also peaked at 12.5K USD in February and fell to 5.8K USD. Weekly active users peaked at 7.9K in early February and saw a decline to 4.3K by March.
Five Nights at Freddy's, the classic title, saw a decline in downloads from 5.7K to 1K by the quarter's end. Revenue followed a downward trend from 12.3K USD to 2.3K USD. Weekly active users dwindled from 24.5K to 6.6K.
